Krasnogvardeysky District (Russian: Красногварде́йский райо́н; Adyghe: Красногвардейскэ район) is an administrative and a municipal district (raion), one of the seven in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. It is located in the northwestern portion of the republic and borders with Ust-Labinsky District of Krasnodar Krai in the north, Shovgenovsky District in the east, Belorechensky District of Krasnodar Krai in the south, and Krasnodar Reservoir in the west. Its borders with Teuchezhsky District (in the west) and Dinskoy District of Krasnodar Krai (in the northwest) pass through the waters of Krasnodar Reservoir. The area of the district is 725.5 square kilometers (280.1 sq mi).[7] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krasnogvardeyskoye. District's population: 30,866 (2010 Census preliminary results);[1] 31,536 (2002 Census);[2] 29,953 (1989 Census).[8]. Population of Krasnogvardeyskoye accounts for 28.7% of the district's population.[2]

Krasnogvardeyskoye and Khatukayskoye Rural Settlements, located in the east and northeast of the district, are located on the shores of Krasnodar Reservoir.

The district was established on February 7, 1929.[5][6]
